Jersey Quest — Family Safety & Age Suitability

Jersey Quest is a family-friendly, location-based collecting game about the island of Jersey. This page explains why it’s suitable for a broad audience and how we keep it safe.

Age rating: 9+

The only reason it isn’t rated for the youngest ages is a light, cartoon-style bonus mini-game (a playful “knight” duel) that appears occasionally. Everything else is suitable for all ages.

What makes it family-friendly

• No alcohol, no pubs, no gambling. The app is deliberately alcohol-free and does not promote gambling or betting.
• No mature content. No sexual content, no nudity, no realistic violence, no drugs, no horror.
• No ads. No third-party advertising and no cross-app tracking.
• No in-app purchases. The app is free to play.

User interaction & moderation

• No chat or direct messaging. Players cannot message or contact each other in the app.
• The only user-created content is a public nickname shown on the leaderboard — no posts, photos or comments are shared publicly.
• Nicknames are moderated. An automatic profanity filter blocks inappropriate names, and a moderator can remove a nickname or a leaderboard/challenge entry, or remove a player, if a name is judged inappropriate.
• Reporting. Anyone can report an inappropriate nickname using our contact form; we act on reports promptly.

Privacy & data

• No account or login required — just an anonymous player ID and an optional nickname.
• Location shows nearby places and lets you collect them; your precise location is processed on your device and is not sold or shared.
• Analytics are anonymous and optional (turn them off in Settings).
• “Delete my data” in Settings wipes everything we hold about you online, in one tap.
