A free two-day festival in the Royal Square, held each September on the anniversary of the day in 1769 when around 500 Islanders stormed the Royal Court over the price of wheat — a protest that ended with the Court losing its power to make law. Live music, food stalls, historical re-enactment and Jèrriais, on the stones where it happened. In 2026 it falls on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.
