Things to do in St Lawrence, Jersey

The valley parish in the middle of the island — and, underneath it, the most visited place in Jersey. The German Underground Hospital, now Jersey War Tunnels, was cut into the hillside by forced labour during the occupation and tells that story better than anywhere else.

Above ground St Lawrence is gentler: Hamptonne, a farmstead museum of Jersey country life across four centuries, and the Glass Church, whose interior René Lalique made entirely of moulded glass.
