Pallot Steam & Motor Museum
Founded by Lyndon 'Don' Pallot (1910–1996), a Jersey engineer who left school at 14, trained on the Jersey Railway and designed farm machinery — reversible ploughs and the elevator digger that carried his name — before spending decades collecting steam engines, vehicles, farm machinery and organs.

The story
Founded by Lyndon 'Don' Pallot (1910–1996), a Jersey engineer who left school at 14, trained on the Jersey Railway and designed farm machinery — reversible ploughs and the elevator digger that carried his name — before spending decades collecting steam engines, vehicles, farm machinery and organs. He placed the collection in the L C Pallot Trust in 1985 and opened the museum in 1990. The engine shed and its Victorian platform were opened on Liberation Day 1996; the extension followed on Liberation Day 2002. The locomotive La Meuse was built in Belgium in 1931 and hauled coal near Liège before coming to Jersey in 1987. The four-wheeled teak carriages were built for the North London Railway around 1900.
