The north-east parish of deep bays and steep valleys, best known for Jersey Zoo — Gerald Durrell's conservation zoo at Les Augrès Manor, still one of the most important in the world. Below the cliffs, Bouley Bay has the clearest water in Jersey and a road that has been raced up since the 1920s.

Two forts guard the bay, a working orchid foundation and a steam museum sit inland, and the parish church stands where it has since the Normans.
