The east coast bay that Queen Victoria made Royal, and the parish that gave golf one of its greatest champions. Grouville's shore is oyster beds, a long common with the Royal Jersey Golf Club on it, Fort Henry among the dunes and, far out on the sand at low water, Seymour Tower.

On the hill behind stands La Hougue Bie — a six-thousand-year-old passage grave under a medieval chapel, and one of the finest Neolithic sites in Europe.
