Place names in Jèrriais
Jèrriais is the Norman language of Jersey — a cousin of the French spoken across the water, with its own spelling and its own sound, and since 2019 one of the island’s three official languages. Most place names on the island are French or Norman in origin; many also have a Jèrriais form that islanders still use.
Some places in Jersey Quest also carry their name in Jèrriais. This page lists the 14 that do today.
