The story
A late Neolithic complex on the edge of St Helier: a gallery grave 5.8 metres long facing south, and beside it a small dolmen ringed by a stone circle about 6.4 metres across. It is one of only two cist-in-circle monuments recorded on Jersey. The gallery grave held ceramic vessels, including beakers and bowls, and an archer's wrist-guard. When the dolmen was excavated in 1883 the chamber was found to be effectively empty, with only a few flint chips inside.
