The story
A south-facing bay of pale sand and pink granite on the cliffs west of St Brelade's Bay, reached only by a steep path down from the headland. There are no buildings, no facilities and no road to the water, which is why it stays quiet: bring what you need and carry it back. Pines and heather line the slopes, the water is sheltered from westerly wind, and at low tide the beach stretches out around the rocks. Wear proper shoes for the climb back up.
