The story
A wooded valley running inland from St Catherine's Bay on the east coast, with a stream, a millpond and a network of paths under oak and chestnut. Bluebells fill the valley floor in spring, and the trees are a refuge for woodland birds. Traces of the Occupation remain in the valley, as they do across the east of the island. A gentle, shaded walk with a clear start and finish, close to the breakwater.
