Wild Jersey

Jersey is small, but it is not all beach and bunker. This collection follows the wild and the green: the cliffs at Plémont where puffins still return in spring, the reed beds of St Ouën's Pond and the wet meadows around it that turn purple with orchids in June, the dune wilderness of Les Blanches Banques, and the seal colonies of Les Écréhous ten kilometres out to sea.

Alongside them are the gardens people made — Samarès Manor's herb beds and colombier, Reg's ponds and waterfalls, the orchid houses of the Eric Young Foundation, and the parks of St Helier — and, at Les Augrès Manor in Trinity, the zoo Gerald Durrell built to save animals rather than show them.
