Before the reboot there was John Nettles, a burgundy Triumph Roadster and ten years of Sunday-night television that made Jersey famous. This trail follows the island as the original Bergerac saw it — the pub that played the Royal Barge, the bay below Charlie Hungerford's house, the harbours and headlands that filled the background of nearly every episode, and the valley where Jim's farmhouse stood until it was flooded to make a reservoir.

Some of it is gone, some of it hasn't changed at all. That is rather the point.
