The story
Marine Peilstand 2: a German naval direction-finding and observation post, built in concrete during the Occupation. Towers like this were not armed. A bearing taken on a ship from two of them at once fixes its position accurately enough for the coastal batteries to reach it. Nine were planned around the island and only three were completed — MP1 at Noirmont, MP3 at Les Landes, and this one.
