The story
A north-coast bay of caves, cliffs and a waterfall, with a beach that exists only at low tide. The cliffs between Plémont and Grève de Lecq are one of the few places in Jersey where puffins still nest, returning each spring. For decades the headland above the bay was covered by a holiday camp; it was bought by the National Trust for Jersey in 2014, demolished and returned to grassland. Steep steps lead down to the beach — check tide times before going down, as the sea cuts off the sand and caves quickly.
