North Coast Cliffs

The north coast is where Jersey stops being gentle. From Plémont's caves the cliff path runs east for fifteen miles, dropping into one small bay after another and climbing straight back out: Grève de Lecq with its barracks and tower, the collapsed sea cave at Devil's Hole, Sorel Point at the island's northern tip, Bonne Nuit's harbour under La Crête Fort, Bouley Bay's deep water beneath Fort Leicester, and finally the wooded valley at Rozel with a dolmen on the hill above. Puffins nest on the western cliffs in spring; the views reach Sark, Guernsey and the French coast all year. Split it over two days, or pick a section and take the bus back.
