Coastal towers of Jersey

The towers are Jersey’s signature. From the 1780s the island ringed its beaches with round towers — the earlier Conway towers, then the squatter Martello type — so that every bay a boat could land in was covered. Most stand on the sand or the sea wall and can be reached in five minutes from the road.

Four are different: Seymour, Icho, La Rocco and Janvrin’s Tower stand out on the reefs and sands and are only reachable around low water. They are the rare cards in this set, and the ones that need a tide table and a wide margin. Read the tidal guide before you go for them.
