This is the biggest set in the app and the least tidy: the parish churches — one for each of the twelve parishes, most of them a thousand years old at the core — alongside harbours, water mills, a quarry crusher, the reservoirs and the town’s Royal Square. What they share is that they are the fixed points of island life, the places every islander can give directions from.

Nearly all are free and open. The churches are usually unlocked in daytime; the mills and Government House keep their own days. Collecting every parish church is a quiet way to see the whole island.
